Host a screening

Share the power and the passion of Orgasmic Birth with your community by hosting a screening event to raise awareness and, if you wish, money for your organization.

Each Orgasmic Birth screening host will receive a DVD of the film and a guide to hosting a panel discussion. Topics include how to choose panelists, suggested discussion questions, and a list of resources on issues related to childbirth, including the intimate and sexual nature of birth.

Hosts will also receive a comprehensive guide to effecting change in birthing practices locally, nationally, and globally.

Maternity care is in crisis. We must talk about these issues, but not stop there; it is time to move into action. Your screening of Orgasmic Birth will provide a venue for fruitful discussion and planning.

To begin:

1. Please download our comprehensive Screening Planner. This guide provides all the details you’ll need to plan a successful event.

2. Download the Orgasmic Birth Educational Use DVD License Agreement. Please print out and read the document, fill in the blanks, and either submit both pages by fax to 1-201-664-4405 (New Jersey, U.S.A.) or scan them and e-mail them as attachments in a message to screening@orgasmicbirth.com. If you wish to host additional events in the future, as we hope you will, you must apply for written permission for each showing but will not be charged any additional fees.

3. Fill out the online Orgasmic Birth Screening Reservation Form. We will post your screening date(s) on our website’s listing of upcoming events and add your organization to our database for future mailings. If you have not selected a date or dates for your screening(s) yet, please insert in the form whatever you do know ("November 2008," "winter 2008-09," etc.) and submit it. When your dates are final, send them in an e-mail message to screening@orgasmicbirth.com, clearly identifying your organization.

4. As a screening host, you will be entitled to buy copies of the Orgasmic Birth DVD and/or soundtrack CD at a discounted price in increments of 30 to sell or give away at your event. Remaining copies may not be returned, but may be sold or given to others after the event is over.

5. The DVD is available in either NTSC (National Television System Committee) or PAL (Phase Alternating Line) format. When ordering, you will be asked which one you want. Before placing your order, determine which format will work with your equipment, based on the country from which you are ordering.

   NTSC is the analog television system used in North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico), Central America, western South America, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, and certain other countries. PAL is used in western Europe, Australia, and eastern South America. A global map indicating which countries use each system is available at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSC.

7. Download free promotional materials to promote your screening event.

8. After your event, please take a few minutes to provide Host feedback. This is a great opportunity for any delegated person in your organization to share details of your event, including photos, for possible posting on this website.
